So far so good…October’s Blog Entry!

So far so good, I think we have obtained 50% of our goals accomplished!  We have already started the interactions between the complexes that were synthesized and biological components, like for example:  guanosine (GMP).  We are comparing the results from each of the new platinum compounds with cisplatin (antitumor drug).  Further studies will be made, considering the cytotoxicity of the compounds.

 

All of these procedures are of great importance because of the biological applications that can be obtained by the interactions.  By interacting the compounds we can observe their effectiveness in the fields of medicine, especially to people that have cancer (which is the main purpose of our experiment).
