Experience with other BIOBLOGS!!

It is so amazing, when one learns so many things, in so little time.  I’ve learned how important is the function of the cell (so tiny, yet it can do so many things) and what makes it work the way it does; how can one use genetic material of organisms that surround us, and find an entire world of new characteristics that are used for research and new discoveries; and also I’ve learned how can cells and metal be used to find compounds of interest in research.  THE QUESTION IS…..How have I learned so many things in so little time???….The answer is simple…..By visiting different bioblogs I have gained knowledge of different areas in the world of science!!  I’ve visited many bioblogs, but I’m going to tell you my experience with three that captivated my attention.

Samuel’s bioblog is very interesting, it has a mixture of Spanish and English so people that speak both or one of the languages is going to understand the goals of his project.  Samuel works with cells and his main goal is to understand the actual mechanism that underlies the temporary permeabilization of the cellular membrane.  I liked a lot his research, because it concerns the fact that many medications that people all around the world take, sometimes do not work effectively, and this reminded me about my research and its purpose.

Zuleika’s blog is very informative, and her research project sounds very promising.  By using genetic material provided by organisms found in nature, new products concerning the areas of medicine and biotechnology can be produced.

Yamilette’s bioblog is very interesting.  I admire her hardwork and her work with metals and cells is of extreme importance in the science areas.  Finding new compounds by the methods in use can lead to a better success in the area of research interest.
