ABRCMS Conference 2008 Orlando, FL
One of the great things about getting involved in the wonderful fields of science is that you get the opportunity of going to different places and present your investigation to people (experts!!) that are involved in your field of research interest (in my case CHEMICAL SCIENCE). So on the week of November 5th to November 9th I had the chance to go to one of the biggest conferences held in the US…the ABRCMS Conference 2008 in Orlando, FL. Not only was my abstract chosen for poster presentation but I was also chosen as an ABRCMS Travel Awardee. This conference was held in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center and it was simply breathtaking. I enjoyed every minute of the conference because I learned a lot of things. The conferences that were held were excellent, the ones I loved best were: Modeling Tumor-Induced Angiogenesis and Vascular Tumor Growth, How Bacteria Talk to Each Other, Get Up with Something on Your Mind: Strategic Thinking Tips for Achieving Academic and Career Success, Chromosome Y and many more.
I also had the opportunity of meeting professors, deans and students from different universities. They offered me many internships and also the possibility of going there after I finish studying my bachellor’s degree in UPRM (which I am considering). I presented my research poster and did well! I made new friends and obtained memories that will last a lifetime. Thank You Biominds for giving me this opportunity!

Magdelisse!!! Congrats on your trip to ABRCMS! Great job!
